  1. Take I-91 South to Exit 18.
  2. From the traffic light at the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Route 5 (also called Pleasant St.).
  3. Go north on Pleasant St. for ½ mile.
  4. The Regional Health Office is a one-story brick building on the left.
From the East
  1. Take the Mass. Pike West to Exit 4 and follow directions to Route 91 North.
  2. Take I-91 North to Exit 18.
  3. From the traffic light at the end of the exit, turn left onto Route 5.
  4. Go north on Route 5 for ½ mile.
  5. The Regional Health Office is a one-story brick building on the left.
From the South
  1. Take I-91 North to Exit 18.

From Massachusetts Turnpike (heading west):
  1. Take Exit 2 (Lee).
  2. Take Rtes. 7/20 North to the city of Pittsfield. (There will be construction through Lenox!)
  3. When you enter the city of Pittsfield, watch for a large rotary.
  4. Go ¾ of the way around the rotary until you face the street that runs along side the only "skyscraper" in the city, the Crown Plaza Hotel.
  5. Go down a hill (Big Y will be on your right), travel under a railroad bridge, and come to a stop sign. (The street ends here.)
  6. Take a left onto West Street, go up a small hill, and take the 2nd right onto Onota Street.
  7. Columbus Ave. Ext. is the second street on the left off of Onota Street.
  8. PDC is on the right, a cream and brown English Tudor-style house. Green sign in front of house.
  9. Driveway is between the telephone pole and the house.
  10. Parking lot is in the back. Come in the "Playroom" door and someone will be there to greet you!
From Northampton (via Route 9):
  1. Take Route 9 West into Dalton, where you will make a right turn onto Main Street.
  2. Main Street/Route 8 continues west and will bring you into Pittsfield.
  3. When you reach Allendale shopping center, go straight. You are on Dalton Avenue, which then becomes Tyler Street.
  4. At the end of Tyler Street, turn left onto North Street. After approximately ¾ mile, at the light, turn right onto Columbus Avenue.
  5. After the stop sign at Onota Street intersection, continue straight onto Columbus Avenue Extension.
  6. PDC is the first white house on your right. There is parking in the back.

  1. Exit the Pike at Exit 5/Chicopee/Route 33.
  2. After paying the toll, bear right following signs to Route 33/Chicopee/Westover.

  4. Follow Route 33/Memorial Drive for just under 4 miles.
  5. After you pass Big Y Supermarket on the right, take your next right onto Old Lyman Road.
  6. You will see the sign "Criterion Child Enrichment/Rise and Shine Academy" in front of our building.
  7. Turn left immediately into our parking lot.
From I-91 North:
  1. Take Exit 16/Route 202 North and merge right off the exit ramp.
  2. Stay on 202 and follow directions below From 202 North (Holyoke area).
From 1-91 South:
  1. Take Exit 17 and turn left at the end of the exit ramp onto Route 141.
  2. Follow Route 141 until you reach the intersection of 141 and Route 5 (Northampton Street).
  3. Continue straight through this intersection onto Dwight Street.
  4. Stay on Dwight Street for several blocks until you reach Appleton Street.
  5. Turn right onto Appleton Street and follow it for several blocks until you reach Beech Street/Route 202.
  6. Turn left onto Beech Street/Route 202 North, and follow directions below From 202 North (Holyoke area)
From 202 North (Holyoke area):
  1. Follow 202 North over the Mueller Bridge, through the rotary, and past the exit for Route 116.
  2. Continue on 202 North until you reach the intersection of Route 33 (you will see a school and playground on the near left corner of this intersection).

  1. Westbound from Boston:
    1. Take exit 11A
    2. Then take Route 495 North to Route 9 West and follow Route 9 West below
  2. Eastbound from Springfield:
    1. Take Exit 10/Route 290 East
    2. Then follow Route 290 East below
From Route 9 West:
  1. From Westboro: Proceed West past Route 140 in Shrewsbury.
  2. Continue to the second stop light. This is Oak Street, there will be a bowling alley on the right.
  3. Turn Right on Oak Street and proceed until you reach a stop sign.
  4. This is Maple Avenue. The entrance to the conference center is directly across the street.
  5. The conference center is the first building on the right.
From Route 290:
  1. Westbound from Marlborough:
    1. Proceed on Route 290 West to Exit 22 - Main Street, Shrewsbury.
    2. Take exit 22, at end of the ramp take a left onto Main Street.
  2. Eastbound from Auburn/Worcester:
    1. Proceed on Route 290 East to Exit 22 - Main Street, Shrewsbury.
    2. Take Exit 22, at end of ramp take a right onto Main Street.
  3. Once on Main Street, Shrewsbury going East:
  4. Proceed on Main Street through the first set of lights and up the hill.
  5. Take right onto Gage Lane (the first right after passing St. John's High School).
  6. Follow Gage Lane to the end and right onto Maple Avenue.

From Northeastern MA/Tewksbury:

    4. Bottom of ramp, take a right and follow from Step 2.3 above
  2. Option 2: Take Rte. 2 East to 190 South to Exit 5 and follow from Step 2.3 above.
Local:
  1. Take Rte. 12 through West Boylston.
  2. Rte. 12 will merge with Rte. 140 in the center.
  3. For a short time, you will be on 12/140.
  4. After you cross Wachusett Causeway, Rte. 12 and Rte. 140 will split, bear left with Rte. 140 North (Rte. 12 will go straight).
  5. Our office is one mile from that split on your right.
Parking:

Driving:
  1. Take I-495 or Rte. 3 to the Lowell Connector. Stay on the Connector to exit 5B Thorndike St.
  2. As you come off the ramp, you will be on Thorndike St. You will go under one overpass, continue straight, then go under twin overpasses.
  3. At the large intersection, bear right onto Dutton St.
  4. At the third set of lights (Hess gas station on your left), take a hard left onto Merrimack St.
  5. Ahead of you on your right will be Lowell City Hall, a large gray granite building with a clock tower.
  6. The next building on the street, directly behind City Hall is the Pollard Library.
  7. The Library is also built of gray granite and has "Memorial Hall" carved in stone above the columned portico entrance. Handicapped access is on the side of the building.
Parking:
  1. Heading up Merrimack St. past the Library, take the third right (at the Cabot St. traffic light).
  2. Take the first right onto Moody St. Follow Moody St. over the bridge and past several parking lots on the right to the entrance labeled "Parking For Library Patrons Only."
  3. Park in the lot and walk a short distance across Colburn St. to the side entrance of the Library; it is wheelchair accesible and leads directly to the elevator.
Alternative parking:

On Merrimack, Moody, and Arcand Streets, there is metered parking. Metered spaces are officially free of charge on weekends and after 6:00 p.m. on weekdays.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health Southeast Regional Health Office is located at 1736 Purchase Street in New Bedford.

From the West:
  • Take Route 195 East to Exit 14 (Penniman Street).
  • Follow Penniman Street to the bottom of the hill at the intersection with Purchase Street.
  • Take a right onto Purchase Street.
  • 1736 Purchase Street is about 1/4 mile on the left (after the second stop sign).
From the East:
  • Take Route 195 West to Exit 15 (Route 18 South/Downtown/New Bedford).
  • Take the Weld Street exit of Route 18.
  • Turn left onto Purchase Street.

From Route 495:

  2. Catch the #20 bus, which stops right in front of our building.
  3. Check with the "T" for times, as the bus does not run all day.
  4. Or, to walk from the Field's Corner T stop, exit right onto Dorchester Avenue.
  5. Go one block, then turn left onto Park St.
  6. Walk approximately three blocks, then turn right onto Adams St.
  7. After two and a half blocks, stay left on Neponset St. where Adams St. forks off to the right.

The State Transportation Building is located in downtown Boston between the theater district and the Park Plaza Hotel. The building can be reached by automobile, rapid transit, and commuter rail. Several MBTA stations are within a five-to-ten minute walk from the building, which is fully accessible to people with disabilities. Parking is available in the State Transportation Building garage and in other garages nearby.

From the South:
  1. Take Exit 20, following signs to South Station. At the end of the ramp, take a left onto Kneeland Street, following signs to Chinatown.
  2. Go straight on Kneeland Street (which becomes Stuart Street after a few blocks) until all traffic must turn right (approximately one-third of a mile.)
  3. The State Transportation Building will be on your right at this point. After a right turn, the entrance to the garage is about halfway down on the right.
  4. Other garages nearby: Motor Mart Garage, the Radisson Hotel garage and the Boston Common Garage.
From the North:
  1. Take the Leverett Connector off Route 93 (Storrow Drive exit, immediately before the Lower Deck).
  2. Follow all the way into Leverett Circle, and get onto Storrow Drive West.
  3. Pass the government center exit on the left, and take the 2nd exit (Copley Square), which will also be on the left side. Get in the left lane, and at the lights, take a left onto Beacon Street.
  4. Take an immediate right onto Arlington Street. Follow Arlington past the Public Garden and crossing Boylston and St. James Streets.
  5. After passing the Boston Park Plaza Hotel on the left, take a left onto Stuart Street.

From the West:
  1. Take the Mass Pike East to the Copley Square exit (which will bring you to a set of lights at the intersection of Dartmouth and Stuart streets).

  3. The Motor Mart garage will be on the left and the Radisson garage will be on the right.

  1. Take 128 South to Route 93 South to Storrow Drive.

  5. Turn right. St. Elizabeth's Hospital will be on your right hand side. Take a right after St. Elizabeth's onto Warren Street.

By Car: From the West
  1. Take the Mass. Pike to the Newton Corner exit (#17).
  2. Stay in the right lane up the ramp.
  3. Take the second right, Park Street set of lights. There will be a sign directing you to Brighton. (If you continue straight, you will get back to the Mass. Pike).
  4. Take your first left onto Tremont Street. This is the intersection where trolley tracks are in the street.
  5. Follow Tremont Street until you arrive in Oak Square. At Oak Square, bear right onto Washington Street.
  6. Washington Street bears off to the right at the intersection with Cambridge Street.
  7. Take Cambridge Street for one block, past St. Elizabeth's Hospital on the right hand side.

  3. Turn right from Commonwealth Avenue onto Warren Street (Seri's Pizza is on the corner).
  4. The Brighton Marine-US Public Health Center is a short distance on your left.
From Roxbury/Dorchester:
  1. Take the #66 Allston/Dudley bus toward Union Square in Allston. Get off at Commonwealth Avenue.
  2. Take the Green "B" train (Boston College/Commonwealth Avenue line) going outbound, towards Boston College (no charge).
  3. The B train will travel up Commonwealth Avenue.
  4. Get off at the "Warren Street" stop.
  5. Warren Street is a street on the right, off of Commonwealth Avenue. Turn right onto Warren Street (Seri's Pizza is on the corner).
  6. The Brighton Marine Health Center is a short distance down Warren Street on your left.

Brighton Marine Public Health Center is on Warren Street, approximately the middle of the block directly across from Franciscan's Children Hospital.

You may park in any visitor parking area on the Brighton Marine campus.
